What to Expect at an Online Support Meeting

We quietly greet newcomers and returning members. We open the meeting reading the PFLAG mission statement and stressing to all the requirement of confidentiality. "What is said here stays here."

We announce any upcoming events involving our Portland PFLAG chapter. We introduce ourselves and briefly explain why we are attending the meeting. Newcomers can participate to the degree they feel comfortable. We open the support part of the meeting to any topic that attendees wish to discuss: concerns, dilemmas, struggles, joys or insights.
